Job Description

Accenture’s Services workforce is a dedicated team of people who work on outsourcing engagements. These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR. We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition.


The Services workforce is made up of four groups: Client Operations, Project Based, Delivery Centers and BPO Businesses. Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Center or, in some cases, an Accenture office.
Individuals within the global network of Delivery Centers provide clients with proven solutions, proprietary software assets and industry best practices to deliver an outsourcing solution at a fraction of the cost required to run the process in house. The Delivery Center model is based on the principle that efficiencies and economies of scale are achieved through procedural best practices and centralized relationships for our clients specializing in finance and accounting, procurement, customer service, human resources and other services.


Responsible for traditional lifecycle deliverables including design, coding and testing within the portfolio of information technology projects offered to clients. Provide on call support for production related issues. Design, build, test and support work processes and systems at client site. Develop and leverage global work processes and system solutions. Utilize company processes and methodologies at client site. Track performance and report process against deliverables, continuous improvement, and team goals.


. Technical / Development Specialist on team responsible for project and support work with Client's Shared Data Network (global reporting database):


1) Participate on Shared Data Network (SDN) projects (as assigned) involving design, build, and implementation activities.


2) Familiarization and use of PSC PDM Methodology as part of daily work processes.


3) Expert in Business Objects Reporting Tools software (Application & Infrastructure).


4) Expert in performance tuning of Business Objects Universes, Reports, and Queries.


5) Participate as a rotating member of the SDN Control Center – including on-call support. Assist in identifying root cause and implementation of tactical as well as strategic solutions.


6) Facilitate process improvements and technical solutions that eliminate the root cause of recurring problems.


7) Continually look for improvement opportunities within the SDN, Business Objects, and Cognos PowerPlay space and recommend / implement as appropriate.


8) Monitor critical applications to adhere and meet global Service Level Agreements (SLA) for SDN space.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Business Objects administration / development / tuning experience (BO 6.5, BO XI)
  • Minimum 3 years Oracle SQL experience
  • Minimum 5 years full lifecycle development experience (design/build/test/implement)
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
